Short man in the elevator story this morning....

so, I'm in the elevator this morning and this guy who considerably shorter than me, keeps looking at me. I finally realize his eyes are boob high to me which he seems to be happy with. Then he decides to tell me I shouldn't be wearing shoes that make me taller since I'm already tall - I'm 5'10' and about 6 ft in the shoes I have on.

Hello???? this is your business - why??

Then he says, don't I know men are inimidated by amazon women?

Amazon???? Well, I don't think REAL men are but I didn't know whether to laugh or kick his butt - are we 12 years old here?

So, as I was getting off the elevator I say to him... guess you wouldn't be intimidated if your boa constrictor could handle us Amazon women.

don't learn to accept the innate superiority of tall people. Without that acceptance, they never really learn to show the proper respect and really fit into modern society. I really don't care if they are short in private and even if they revel in that, I just don't think it's appropriate for them to shove it in our faces in public. Luckily there are many fine shorties who know their place, and I get along with them just fine.

When i was a grad student, new guys to the group expressed shock and awe at how i could be such a pig and not get slapped.

There are two reasons: I would introduce myself to women and apologise for being a pig in advance (with a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eye), and the women all realised i would only enjoy getting slapped.

I, personally, like Amazon-looking tall women who look like they could kick my butt without breaking a sweat.

I'm comfortable with my height, although it's a bit annoying always to have to get a chair to retrieve things from the top shelf.

When I was a grad student, I had a rather tall, buxom female friend who i would ballroom dance with. I was eye-level with her nipples. She thought that was hilarious, and would sometimes pull me in a bit. She liked to see me squirm, but I loved it.

I get to the piont where I was to dance with Gary who was about yoru height and his nose was right there in the middle of my chest .... He said 'I like your perfume' - I thought I was gonna pee my pants. ha

that intimidation was the point - a good way to separate the men from the boys!

(that being said, the only men who would be boob-height on me would be approximately four feet tall. I've met jockeys who were taller than I am. I've always been a bit envious of the tall women. If I were tall, I'd DEFINITELY wear heels. Since I'm short AND clumsy, I don't.)
