Top Chef tonight. Does anyone care?

I like Jamie and I think Carla is a hoot, but the rest of them...meh.

Jamie went. Screwed up some kind of fish with celery by making it too salty.

2. I haven't really gotten into this season.

The move west screwed me up some - stupid time zones.

That said, if I really cared, I would find the show on a replay. There is one really good chef (Stefan, I think) and the others are just ok. No huge jerks (although Stefan has his moments from what I have seen), no THERE there.

4. I'm not gelling to it this time around - I liked Jeff and Radika (sp?), and love Carla

the others are mostly whiny heavy emoting idiots, or narcissistic shitbags (Fabio and Stephan).

I also liked that older woman who was a shitty cook the first few shows, and then started pulling out wins. I was sad to see her go, even though initially show annoyed the hell out of me.

But now it's just doofuses left.

I had predicted, before the show even started, that Jeff would win it. Based solely on their pictures.


I really want Carla to win, because not only is she a good cook and deserves it, but she's the only really genuinely honest real human person left.



I used to work with a woman who looks just like and acts just like Carla - same large facial expressions, wild hand gestures. Same hair, same shape of face, same taste in clothing and jewelery. It's bizarre, and almost freaky. My friend was a dancer (modern artistic dance), and a damned good one.

7. I thought Jeff would win as well

However, his propensity for trying to do too much really was his downfall. Stefan may be narcissistic, but he is a decent chef. Leah should have been gone long ago.

I too, am pretty much rooting for Carla at this point, though I don't think she will win.

8. Stefan the decent chef - yes, he really is. And it pisses me off!

I hate that he's as good as he is. Narcissistic asswipes who DO have the chops to back it up are even more annoying than the narcissistic asswipes who don't have the chops.

And yeah, Jeff always tried to go for too much on the plate. That was a constant complaint, and yet he never learned from the judges' telling him that over and over.

Which is too bad. He seemed a very nice guy, the kind of person who deserves to win a competition like this.

5. I watched the first part of Good Eats tonight. Wasn't really that hungry.

Seeing how it is Alton Brown's show, I didn't know there was a competition.

10. I care, but I just can't stay up that late

the cold weather is pummeling my energy levels. One might say I'm hibernating. I'm usually in bed by 8 or 8:30.

I can't wait for spring to come.
