question about last night's "Concert for George" on PBS . . .

all night long I was looking at the guitar player with the frizzy gray hair who was most often on the right of the screen, behing Dhani Harrison . . . I knew he looked familiar, but I couldn't place him, and it was driving me nuckin' futs . . . late in the show I had an "ah-ha" moment and said to myself "I think that's Alvin Lee!" . . . now I'm not so sure . . . can anyone confirm this or, alternatively, tell me who that guy actually was? . . . thanks . . .
