How many remote controllers do you have?
Count 'em up — but only those you still use, even just once in awhile. Don't count the ones for appliances that are making dust bunnies somewhere.

I have eight:

• Teevee (2)

• DVD player

• VCR

• Digital teevee tuner

• Bedroom fan

• Car stereo, fer cryin' out loud.

• Teevee antenna rotor (wired, but still remote).

:freak:

3. well, let me think
3 for my TV's
2 for stereos
2 for a/c's
1 for my computer
so that makes 8, but do remote controlled toys count because that would bring the total up to like 20

13. Since you asked...
it went something like this:

"I found a light switch in my kitchen that didn't seem to do anything. I'd turn it on and nothing would happen. I did this every day for three months. Finally, I got a letter from a guy in Chicago that said, 'Knock it off'."

15. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
One time I lived in an apartment and the guy upstairs used to play his stereo loud all night. So one night when Mr Gray was over, he called the guy and told him he was calling to complain about the noise, that he was calling from Revere (city about 20 miles from where we were) and he could hear it from there and that all his neighbors were pissed and wanted him to turn it down.

Poor guy did not know what to say. I died laughing.

7. I'm afraid to count all mine up
I'm sure I have some that I no longer even have the devices they control. I just throw them all into a basket which I keep inside a closet.

All except my Harmony Remote, which is really like the One Ring in the LOTR.

One remote to control them all.

8. 6 all together
2 TVs
1 Sound system
1 DVD player
1 Tivo
1 CD/Radio jam box

I would have a 2nd remote for an old stereo that I still use, but it was broken in an argument long ago.

14. just two
one for the tv and the other for the dvd player. i do wish, though, that i could find one for the stereo. we run the dvd audio through the stereo and i'm tired of having to get up to adjust the volume so that i can hear the dialogue and not have my ear drums blown out by the music or special effects.

i've found only one web site that sells remotes for the stereo we have but i'm not paying $30 for a damn remote x(

16. Just one, it was expensive, but it was a great investment. I have a Logitech Harmony remote and it
controls everything. If you keep your eyes open, you can get one on sale. I picked mine up for 60 bucks. After spending ten bucks here and there for "universal" remotes that never controlled everything, it was sooooo worth getting the Logitech one. You hook it up to your computer and type in the model numbers of everything you have and then program it to turn on the tv, set the input, turn on the vcr, whatever you need with just one button.

Ok, actually, I do have another one in the bedroom for the TV there.

19. Four.
TV, VCR/DVD, and two for the iPod dock speakers, since we had to exchange the dock when it broke, and forgot to return the first remote.

26. We all think alike you know
It's kinda like research and rats. If you want to know the behavior of rats, all you need to do is come up with a group of rats (say 10 or so) and test their reaction to certain stimuli. Based on the study, you can accurately predict the behavior of all rats.

Men are much less complicated. You only have to study 3 or 4.

24. About a million.
We just got DirectTV and now we have a whole slew of remotes from TVs and VCRs that we no longer need. I even have old remotes stuffed in drawers, and I can't remember what they are for!
