It's a duck....and he falls in love with a human. What more do you want from a movie than that?

3. Because Lea Thompson was absolutely adorable in this movie!!
I had a HUGE crush on her!!

You are right, though...how did this get made?

Can you imagine the pitch to the studio?

"Uh, so there's this duck -- and he lives on another planet. Well, he comes to earth via a laser beam and lands in Cleveland where he befriends and falls in love with this hot girl in a rock band. An evil being also comes to earth via the laser beam and inhabits a man's body and Howard and the girl have to stop him."
