Calls of Car Factory Warrenty expiring...every freaking day!

I'm sure everyone is getting these calls; I've googled it and it seems this is plaguing EVERYONE! We're unlisted, but they get us. They even get the pay as you go cell phones that I use (no name is registered to these). I believe they just randomly dial numbers. I get these calls every single day.

1. The caller ID number displayed is bogus (changes everytime and you can't call them back)
2. When you follow their menu to stop the calls it does NOT work.
3. If you hang on the line and talk to a person - as soon as they realize they're not suckering you in they hang up on you.
4. They are not adhering to the do not call registry (which they are obigated by law to check first).

Obviously this is a scam and it's been going on for almost a year. Why hasn't someone done something? I've seen complaints to the BBB, but they keep on calling!

1. I get them every single day. And, all of our cars

are still under their original warranties. It is a royal PITA.

2. I don't get them at home, but Just about once a week,

I get a call at my job. I just hang up.

3. I get similar calls but "Important notice regarding your credit cards"

of which I have none

4. I push the talk to a person option

When someone comes on line I tell them that if they persist in calling this number they will be hearing from the authorities and my attorney. After I started doing that the calls decreased 90%. Like I'm going to get a warranty on my 92 truck or our 86 car.
I tell the same thing to those "lower your interest rate" clowns.

I find it funny.


I've also requested that they take me off their list, which obviously isn't working. The next call I get, I'm reporting to the BBB.

6. I don't get calls like that, but we constantly get mailers about it.

11. I got those to stop. I spoke to an operator and accepted the offer for my 82 Yugo.

It took a lot to avoid laughing, but the guy explained that he would have to check on my account and get back to me. The calls stopped.

I don't own a Yugo.

I believe I will suggest that to her as well.

12. I filed my cell number with the Do Not Call registry, and they stopped.

Used to get a couple a day.

I got them while I was driving an 18 year old van whose warranty probably ran out back when Milli Vanilli was still on the charts.

i also get calls offering to refinance my non-existent mortgage.

17. Filed formal complaint with FCC

Had this stuff come to my cell a while back. Filed a formal Affidavit/Complaint with the FCC after the first three. Within 24hrs it stopped.

19. a few calls ago I actually listened and went to the "accept" menu.

For my 1990 ford van. The woman I spoke to told me I missed it by one year. I asked to be taken off their list. She said sure no problem. The calls have increased.

Always fun to try and get some much needed sleep only to be woken up by the phone...
