5. There's the short story. And there's the longer story. Short story: I'm a klutz.

Longer story: I was seized by an inexplicable urge to post something in an ancient ancient language. This involves: (1) Actually learning an ancient language. (2) Looking up the unicode for the ancient language. (3) Getting the unicode to work. (4) Writing and posting something. So far as (1) goes, it involves (1a) crack open a beer and try to figure out what step (1b) would be. Step (2) is easy: just visit unicode heaven. Step (3a) involves testing a preview: like a klutz, I hit post instead of preview. Step (3b) involves finding and installing appropriate fonts so my browser can see if I did it right: that requires a voyage to the hall of the ancient geeks. Step (4) still involves going back to step (1)
