Have any must-see movies for the year?
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 01:10 AM by Il_Coniglietto
I've been really excited about Pirates of the Caribbean because i'ts my favorite ride and it's got a great cast. I hope it's as good as I want it to be. There's the Matrix Revolutions. I think a lot of what are considered problems in Reloaded are really just plot holes that will be filled in at the end. Because it's a trilogy, it's better to be seen as one long movie than three. Much like LOTR. And then Return of the King, of course.

Oh, and the Last Samurai looks like it could be very good. You guys?

*edit: got ahead of myself ;-)*

1. LOTR Return of the King and Seabiscuit
Those two make my short list for must-see movies of 2003. So far, they're the only ones I'm excited about!

2. Seabiscuit...
...looks like a nice movie. Seemed like there was something missing in the trailer for me, but it's stiil looks MUCH better than the lot we've had so far (minus Finding Nemo: adorable movie).

3. Seabiscuit, Pirates of the Carribean, Finding Nemo (again), Bad Boys II,
and Sinbad! Okay, Sinbad is for the kid, but it will be first on my list anyway.

4. Whale Rider
best movie I've seen in years. As soon as the credits rolled, I turned to my husband and said, "I wish I had a daughter, just so I could take her to see this movie."

I want to see it again. Fantastic movie.

6. I agree!
The Whale Rider was terrific, one of those films that both children and adults can appreciate. I think it would be especially inspiring for girls over the age of ten.

I also liked Nowhere in Africa (German Jewish family flees to Kenya during the Nazi era), Winged Migration (amazing documentary about birds), and Adaptation (hard to describe in a phrase).

I'm looking forward to North Fork and American Gun.

Oddly enough, Il Coniglietto's list of must-see films greatly resembles my list of films to avoid! :-)
