Who to Hell cares about Princess Diana?
Can’t the world let her die? Was she the only woman that married a loser? She was a born into privilege and she married into a pack of parasites. Now we are forced on a bi-annual basis to endure her suffering. Big deal! Lets spend as much time looking into the life of some young woman trying to make it on a Wal-mart salary. Lets spend some time looking into the life of a family who has been stripped of their dream because some CEO decided that the bottom-line could be improved by moving a US factory to sweatshop in Bangladesh.

To end this rant, let me say, when to hell are they going to stop using our time to give the royalty a damn parade. I for one don’t give a rats ass that Princess Di had it tough. There are millions that would like to have had it that tough. Aside from Jane Pauly do any of you really care?

2. Boy! Do I agree!
Why the poor woman made those tapes is beyond me. Why she married Charles when she knew he had someone else is beyond me. Why she would want her kids to hear this stuff and to know she tried to abort one of then is beyond me. Everyone should let her rest in peace but they won't because someone will make alot of $.

3. And who dies just a week later?
Mother Teresa a LIVING Saint.

Do we see reports on her incredible work with ORPHANS FORM CALCUTTA?

Did she leave interviews and a diary containing paranoid delusions of conspiracies to kill her?

The moment I saw the CNN news flash I looked right at my buddy and we both rolled our eyes, we knew what was coming........and it still hasn't stopped.

4. I worked in HMV at the time. Our assistant manager came in in tears
I said 'Let's hope it's Fergie next'.
I'm definitely one for judging the public mood.

Of course, I got payback a week later when we had to sell the fucking Elton John single. One woman bought twelve. She told me (and I quote) 'I was on holiday in China when I heard. I had to come straight back. It's the most terrible thing I've ever heard'. I said 'Well, thank god you came back, because otherwise we'd never have made it through. I assume no one you knew or loved has ever died, otherwise you wouldn't be spouting such obvious nonsense'.

I got fired.

5. To hell with all royalty...
"Pack of parasites" is right. I can't stand the thought of the citizens of the UK financing a life of obscene luxury for a bunch of inbreds who have done nothing to deserve such finery!

They can all go to hell!

8. I liked her and I admired her work with the needy and sick
as well her her support for anti-landmine treaties.

If she is going to be brought up over and over again, always try to slip those tidbits into the conversation.

So flame away! I don't care. and I azdmire her charitable work. And the way she could relate to the common person. I think she really was "The People's Princess."

10. I agree. I just don't get this "Diana is sainted" business.
I agree with your points, Lone Liberal.

Mother Teresa died around the same time as Diana. And I thought it was interesting that Diana's death seemed to engender more emotion, more sadness that Mother Teresa's. However you view Mother Teresa (and some, like Christopher Hitchens, have painted a less than flattering portrait of MT), she DID far more good for the world than Diana.
