Aren't you excited? Today is the day the 8year-nightmare ends. :woohoo: The day we've been waiting for. I am very happy and proud for and of you today. You accomplished a big task. Not only did you vote a Democrat into office again, no, you voted a man into office that is capable of getting us out of the mess. And you overcame racism. It is still a long way ahead and a stony way but with Barack Obama as POTUS the world looks a lot brighter and the future a lot better. Thank you!!!

What we have today is "hope".

The nightmare doesn't end today. There are still wars, still a depression. And as our friend AmericanOriginal (Pierre) has demonstrated, racism is alive and well here in the U.S.

But we have to start somewhere, to try to pull out of the morass of the last eight Bush-Cheney years.

I'm still hoping that we can someday get a more Euro-style of health care, without the insurance companies "managing" what treatment is authorized.

I understand completely. It takes a garage with an attic and a barn to hold everything we had in a 2-car garage. How did it grow like that? Of course, we do have more room for our cars now. I'm thinking things just get spread out a little more when you move to a bigger place. OR ... as in our case ... we lived in the smaller place long enough to make organizing it all a work of art! :rofl:

64. I have more storage space

that helps a lot. Everything that belongs in the kitchen is in the kitchen (like glasses and stuff). Also, I have that huge in-build closet in the bedroom where I can store a lot of stuff. So I will get everything in order. Yesterday I unpacked my photo albums. Still need boxes for the pictures that aren't in albums.
