What's your concert calendar look like?
Suffice to say that I'm going to be trading food for concert tickets this semestre at college.

3/29 -- Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Kweller
4/1 or 4/2, I can't remember -- Lewis Black
4/3 -- Ben Folds

This discounts a few coffeehouse / local shows, like Kiss Me Quick (local band), Sick Lipstick (playing SOMETIME in the near future), and whatever bands come through.

Go music!

1. Here's mine

I will be going to see JV (John Vanderslice) on 3/8, the Stills on 3/14, Phantom Planet on 3/17, The French Kicks/The Walkmen on 3/23 (I think..), and Death Cab for Cutie/Ben Kweller on 3/27. Oh, and also Hey Mercedes/Saves the Day on 4/9. Hooray for concerts! I'm really excited about the Death Cab/BK show - it should be a good one.

2. Intriguing.
Phantom Planet is playing really close to me in the relatively near future. I'm not sure if I'll go, however, because I frankly think they suck. :-)

I hate the new Saves the Day record, but if they're really close to me I might go and check them out. See if they're still good live, and yell for them to play Through Being Cool in it's entirety.

Death Cab / BK is going to rock, I'm sure. I don't know much about Kweller, but I'm excited for the Transatlanticism tour -- I can't WAIT to see some of that shit live.

4. Hmm...
I have been a fan of Phantom Planet since I was an 9th grader (I'm a junior in college now) so I still have some loyalties. For what it's worth, they put on a pretty good live show. And depending on who is opening for them when they are near you I would highly reccommend seeing the Thrills or Adam Green.

Yeah, the latest Saves the Day album is pretty awful. I guess you could probably include some of the lyrics off of that in the "Worst Lyrics EVER" thread, but once again there's that whole nostalgia thing. Plus Grandaddy and Hey Mercedes are pretty good bands.

I personally love BK, he puts on a really good live show.

5. Fantomas on April 17th at the Showbox in Seattle..

You must see these guys live. You have to see them live to understand them and they are one of the best bands I have ever seen live.

12. When I was a teen-ager Arlo had a summer house close by ....
He is a very laid back guy, with a great sense of humor. He would bring his kids to the local gymkhanas & horse shows. He would also give us free passes to 'Cafe Lena's'in Saratoga Springs.

I haven't heard their new record (Good News For People Who Love Bad News if I remember right). Any good?

Either way, that setup kicks a lot of ass.
