10. I hate all the hate for PETA.

You know, they do a lot of good for animal rights, and no, I'm not joking.

11. I tend to agree. They run some bizarre and occasionally annoying campaigns,

but there is a method to their madness. I suspect that most of their more extreme pronouncements are somewhat tongue in cheek, designed to call attention to an issue, and the small handful of actual PETA people I've met tend to be fairly level-headed...

12. Ingrid wrote in one of her books that their job sometimes

is to do something so silly or "out there" that it causes people to throw stones, BUT it still gets people talking about it, even out of mockery. PLUS, it gets website traffic their way and keeps the PETA name in the minds of everyone.

A friend of mine who works there says that even the employees get a chuckle out of some of the campaign ideas.
