If anyone remembers the promo "Last Supper" picture, it was explained by Ron Moore that the final Cylon was not present in the photo, and that the empty seat might, in fact, be reserved for him/her. If you'll notice, the seat is right next to Tigh, and he is looking at whoever might be sitting in the empty chair. But I, like most people, was only thinking of living people as possibilities for the fifth - it never occurred to me that that the final Cylon would already be dead.
