Good morning Lounge
It is Thursday .... almost weekend :) Not that I can relax this weekend, I have to clean my old apartment and still a bunch of boxes to unpack at the new place. I will be busy.
But I will be glad that the work week is over and I can sleep in a bit. Not that I am able to sleep long but at least a bit longer than 7am :D

Full moon????

Did everything go well yesterday?

Unpacked some more boxes yesterday, moved some boxes to the rooms where the stuff is coming to .... still enough to do :)

5. Not sure ...
too much on my mind, I think.

It went OK. Ran into problems first thing ... not like we're surprised, right? So something that should have taken an hour max took 4 hours. They're doing a good job, though. It's just going to cost more than we thought unless they can pick up the pace today.

You're making progress. Of course, you always end up with one last box full of stuff you don't know what to do with, but you're a little ways off from that.

Thanks for the encouragement. I know already I need some small nice boxes to put away my pictures for example. I have a bigger desk now but no drawers to put stuff in .... you get the idea.

What was the problem they ran into? Did you tell K about it?

 Thanks.

I like bankers boxes for that kind of thing. They are a nice size and the tops lift off. Do they have such things in Germany? I've beat mine all to pieces with all the moving and taping/untaping. Time to get some more. these look nice!

(Can't seem to get the link to work ... trying again.)

I emailed ... I told him about the problems here and he told me about the problems there. :banghead:

please eat some shrimp for me!!! I LOVE shrimp!!!! I would kill for having some right now. They are so expensive in Germany, I barely eat them. But then, it is good again because the protein isn't good for my skin x(

I got a lot of books back from another department. I have enough to do for the next days.

I am sooooo glad the work week is almost over too!!!

I found one necklace, one earring and a charm at the police station yesterday. That was it:( but at least those jerks are now charged with multiple burglaries. When I identified the stuff they told me it was up to 21 burglaries, and there was still stuff to identify!

Have a terrific day!

22. Morning MissH!
Great pic! My aunt lived in Lindau, but that was a long time ago.

I wish my weekend was starting. As a matter of fact, I with I could just stay home today. Temp is -13F. They were announcing school closings yesterday already. When they chill factor is -25F for several hours in a row, schools are called off. A lot of students have to stand around and wait for the bus, very dangerous.

when I lived at the lake, I lived on the opposite end of Lindau. Lindau is a beautiful town. When you come to Germany I take you there.

Brrrr .... that is cold. Our temps are in the 30s again.

part of your country.

Yes, it's SUPER COLD here. I'm just dreading going outdoors. Wish I could just stay home, put a few logs in the fireplace, settle on my sofa with a nice cozy blanket and a good book, with a hot cup of tea by my side.

Oh well . . . I'd best start to get ready for work. *sigh*

So besides cleaning the old place and unpacking the new one, do you have any plans for the weekend? You should definitely take a break, maybe go to the movies. I highly recommend Slumdog Millionaire, if it's out there (I have no idea where it's been released worldwide).

Hehe. I do that sort of thing quite often in my mind. You know.. associating something with a DUer. You actually have done it to me a few times. I have a buddy up around NYC that moves diplomats internationally for a living. He's mostly a worker type but he's in charge of the job when he's assigned.

I got to thinking... it takes him 1-2 days to pack a full house, 1-2 on unload, plus time in the middle. I was comparing you to him in my head and discovered that you are practically a professional! :)
