1. I will be traveling for work
x( The guy who set up the time for the trip is a GOPer. I don't think it was malevolent, but I think it never crossed his mind.

4. I don't know if I'm scheduled for work or not, probably not.
Originally I'd had classes scheduled all day. But now I found a few that fit my schedule better (and one that's a prereq for a bunch of things I want to take next semester) so I shifted my schedule around and I'll be out by 2. And since my work schedule is usually made on Wednesdays, and I just submitted the new schedule around noon today, I'd wager that my boss was still using the one I'd sent last week that had me listed as unable to work Tuesday. So I won't miss the whole day. I just won't get home until at least 2:30ish.

7. I know that story all too well.
This is the first time in months there's been enough of a lull for me to get a few days off work. Which is probably good timing, since school starts on Tuesday. ... which is why I'll be missing most of the inaguration hoopla. :P

10. Thank the gods for streaming video.
It's the only way I'll get to see it even if I do get home in time. The only TV in the house isn't hooked up to cable, nor does it get broadcast. It's just there for DVDs and VHS. :P

but I ended up with all MWF classes, so I don't have class until Wednesday. I'm off work on Tuesdays too. Do you have your VCR/DVR set to record?

23. Alas, MWF are the days I drive my grandpa to dialysis
so I have to fit most of my classes into TTh. Although I just changed my schedule a bit, so I'll actually have that afternoon free. I don't have a VCR, any watching I do will be streaming video on this here computer screen. :)

I teach school and one of our Snow Days has to be made up on MLK Day, so it's a full week of school. I could take a personal day, but I have a convention that had been planned a year in advance on Thursday and Friday. I didn't feel I should be gone a third day. I'll be sure to check out highlights on the news! :hi:

Such rotten timing... We have a school cancellation tomorrow (bitter cold) and an inservice day on Monday, the 19th. Regular school day on the 20th. Damn. I do have a TV in my classroom. I will have it on, but doubt if I will get to pay much attention to it. I will be taping it and hope to watch it the reruns on C-span.
