Yet another shorts and T-Shirt day in NORCAL!
I am so glad that winter is over. I have worn shorts more times (4) this January that I have worn my coat (0).

2. We need rain though, Bennyboy
I agree it's nice (I'm going for a walk outdoors today) but I am worried about rain. We had so many fires last summer - if we don't get some precipitation it will be even drier this summer. :scared:

3. exactly. this is NOT a good thing
fires and drought. That's what we have to look forward to. Also hotter temps than ever before (I HATE hot weather).
Climate change is real and taking it's toll.

Very strange weather. It was like the Santa Ana winds blowing through Santa Monica. As fun as that was, I wish we'd get some rain.

5. Freakish weather -- You could be in for one hell of a drought.
I remember water rationing in Contra Costa County back in the mid-70s -- yikes. An unflushed toilet brings those memories flooding back to me every time.

Queen Elizabeth got DRENCHED (imagine leaving England to visit California only to encounter torrential rains).

Really, as I was loading my stuff on my bike. SO now I am taking care of my Mom. She is 85 with a broken hip and now needs a knee transplant.

Thanks for the thoughts....

10. Same in SoCal!
Shirt sleeves and shorts weather...

The Santa Ana winds are bringing our hot weather...

They blow out of the NE, and this is what happens...

The winds will slow down by the weekend, and then normal weather will return...

:hi:

11. It's only January but fire danger is real
Firefighters were dispatched to three vegetation fires Monday in Shasta County as conditions grew increasingly dry and decidedly different from a traditional mid-January day.

Redding broke an 89-year-old temperature record for the date when the mercury topped out at 75 degrees. The previous record for the date was 73 degrees.

I was SO HOT last night I wanted to turn on the AC at 2 AM.

I am usually the one to turn the AC UP in the summer because I am cold. :(
