I just got a package of these out of our sorry a** vending machine. You barely read it on the gif above but is the official slogan I guess.

There are sort of tarty like.........hell I don't know what I don't usually eat candy and certainly nothing like this and now I know why.

it's a cheesy gimmick, i know, but i still go crazy for any of those "chewy" candies. Chewy sweet-tarts.... chewy gobstoppers... chewy runts. mmmmmmmmm... chewy....

part of me wonders if it's just the regular product gone stale?!? when i was a kid i'd always stash some halloween candy somewhere for months, then eat it when it was all stale & chewy.
