just re-read some Chekhov plays - what say you about Anton?


The Three Sisters and The Seagull. No, not that Checkhov. It's funny how his stuff read one way when I was in my 20s and now that I'm 50, it has a very different feel. They seem sadder and wiser, full of cynicism and of passion, complex characters alternately rife with angst and delight.
