Every time I go into GD-P I wind up putting someone on ignore within five minutes or so. Just remember: anything any Democrat (well, except for Lieberman) who has pissed you off has done which was bad or stupid (or both, such as voting for Bush's war) MUST be forgiven or you're a miserable fucking piece of trash. You MUST swallow shit you don't like and call it "unity," and you'll even have idiots spell that word out to you when you disagree with anyone: "u-n-i-t-y."

Nowadays the forum is little more than comic relief.

So here I am, a big Obama supporter who is already tired of the whining about his every move, but I finally found one thing he did that I didn't like (Panetta doesn't, IMO, have the requisite background to be CIA director), I didn't dare mention it over there because it just isn't worth it.

During the primaries, I would have. I am as anti-Hillary than I am pro-Obama, and wasn't afraid to throw that around no matter how mad the Hillbots (as I call them, anyway) got. A few months of seeing the hysteria in that place made all of my piss and vinegar evaporate, I guess.

The Lounge's flamewars are hilarious. The other forums are just hateful cesspools of bile. R/T, I/P, and the Gungeon take special honors, though - I have strong opinions about two of the three, moderate opinions about the other, and I absolutely refuse to post in any of them. NOTHING is worth putting up with the mindless vicious abuse that is routinely spewed at anyone with a "dissenting" opinion.
