1. I Had Pong With My Sears Version of the Atari 2600
I also had Space Invaders and Pac-Man, among others. Ex-wife #2 took it with her when she left me.

Which I did in 1993, shortly before I married the beautiful Mrs. CO Liberal. We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary last month.

3. I confess!
It was hours of fun! I was given the new product that emulates a lot of the old Atari games. They come packaged all on the same joystick. Lots of memories there.

6. I played (the coin-operated video game) Pong 1st in 1973...
My family went to Boston on vacation that summer and there was a game in the lobby of the hotel (I was all of 7 years old).

We had Atari Pong at home in 1977 or 78... can't remember which year, though.

But you always remember your "first time."

12. I still have mine
out in the garage with lots of other early era computer games. I thought about selling it on eBay, but a quick search revealed that it's not worth much. Lotta' fun, tho, way back then.

Edited on Wed Mar-03-04 09:27 AM by Love Bug
my brother and I would walk down to the local bowling alley to play Pong. And when Space Invaders came out... woo-hoo!

Now, my 6 year old grandson has been kicking my ass in video games for the past 2 years!

15. Yes Dad was cool.
My father got it when it first came out. We were spoiled kids. He also got the Atari 2600 When that first came out and he would get a new game or 2 every week. (He also was addicted as well) He still has both systems. He also has both of his very old comador and atari computers. (the ones that you had to program in whatever game that you wanted to play and then after all that typing it wouldn't work).

Dad was cool.

16. Loved it!
Played it all the time in college - early 70's.

The "boop" sound was great while stoned, as anyone could tell you... :)
