FIREFLY turns green, morphs into SERENITY

It's like what happened to BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, except in reverse: Variety reports that Universal Pictures has given the greenlight to the big screen FIREFLY movie, now officially titled SERENITY. The film's budget is being reported at around "mid-eight figures", so let's call it more or less $50 million dollars.

1. Absolutely Awesome!

I loved that show. It had great stories, great characters, no humanoid aliens, understated yet nice FX, humor and a couple of times it was genuinely creepy. It was the only sci-fi show my wife would watch and she loved it. Especially Jayne.

I loved how they twisted his actions into mythic heroic feats. That was a really nice surprise.
