What Happens in GD04 Stays in GD04?

I have had my share of battles with a small number of supporters of other candidates in GD04, but I like to think that those disagreements stay there and don't pollute Lounge fun and chat.

The only grudge that would transfer into the Lounge from GD04 or any other forum would be a vicious, nasty attack on me or maybe a revelation of private info about me. The former has only happened a couple of times, and the latter has never happened.

Most the time, I can have a heated debate with people in GD04 and then come to the Lounge and talk to the same folks about pets, cameras, family members, and other interesting topics. I think that's the way it should be here.

Answer the following statement True of False, and then give an example, if you like, of a relevant "true" situation. Let's try to keep this thread positive--don't want to continue any flame wars in this thread.

So, here's the statement:

there are people I'm good friends with here that I hate in GD04 (and I'm sure they hate me, too!)

But the lounge is the fucking LOUNGE!

3. No names...a poster I'd always admired in GD2004recently had problems....

While I love her writing, I disagree with most all of her ideology. Though we've had very little contact, I offered sincere understanding and encouragement because of her difficult times. She thanked me eloquently by pm and told me what it meant to her personally.

She and I are not ideological soul mates, but we are one the same team. I think we both will settle for that...

Dookus and I were just talking about this as a matter of fact.Well ok,we were arguing...but we agreed that it was just GD material :D

There's only 2 people on DU that I hold a grudge with and wont be friendly to under any circumstances.One is just an ass and the other is a bigoted fool AND an ass!

I also realize that I can be extremely abrasive and sarcastic (hell,look at my profile and check my hobby) so I'm sure I rub many people the wrong way just being me.I can't hold a person's natural reaction to my sarcasm against them :)
