I don't think there's a sweeter, purer voice out there, and listening to her little story/songs is like curling up in a warm, comforting, safe place for a little while.

7. My favorite female singer

Because she is not played on any radio stations I don't know how I ended up discovering her. It was while I was in college and I just have loved her ever since.

My favorite is the South Dakota song. I don't know the exact title but I love it. I love the Five and Dime too. Even though I have never been to Texas it makes me feel like I have been there. And her Woolworth's elevator sound is great.

Ahhh makes me want to go and bring in my Nanci Griffith CDs to work.
