You'll never believe what happened at my caucus tonight

Okay...so, as most of you know, i'm just your average run-of-the-mill teenager with a penchant for politics. So, living in Minnesota, I decided to drag my otherwise republican parents to a DFL primary and make them vote for Edwards :P. Anyways, we went and registered, and went to our precinct area.

Anyways, the convener eventually came in and read the outline for us, and then we elected a caucus chairman. Knowing that I was for some reason old enough to run for it, I raised my hand. I expected laughs, but didn't get any. One other person rose their hand, but other than that I ran against only one person. I, for some reason, managed to beat that person. So, I'm a teen and i've already won a political election outside of school :)

It gets better yet. The next thing we had to do was to elect a precinct chairman, which again I was eligible for. So, I again volunteered. This time, I ran unopposed. I was shocked, to say in the least...I mean, i'm a sophomore in high school, and now i'm a freakin precinct chairman, and maybe the youngest in DFL history...who knows :)

I'm still getting over the shock...wish me luck at the district convention :)

Kerry had 12 votes, Edwards had 10, Kucinich had 2.
