If I were a college football player, I would like to play in something distinguished like the Peach Bowl -- an august name for something that has decades of glorious football history behind it. Today, though, you get to play in the freaking Chick-Fil-A Bowl (which is what the Peach Bowl is now called). The Chick-Fil-A Bowl sounds like something you get free with the purchase of a fried chicken value meal.

I can reluctantly put up with a corporate add-on ("The Nokia Sugar Bowl", "The Rose Bowl Presnted By FedEx"), but when the very name is some cheeseball company, you lose me.

I simply refuse to use the corporate name if it's a bowl with even a slight history. It's the Peach Bowl and the Citrus Bowl, not the Chik-Fil-A Bowl and the Sleazy Semi-Sub Prime Credit Card Bowl.

It's still the Gund Arena here in Cleveland. I refuse to say "Quicken Loans Arena." Back east in Worcester, MA, it is still The Centrum and will never be Fleet Center or whatever it is.
