The inaugaration day essay contest - is it really an essay contest, or just a random pick?
I'm wondering if it's worth trying to write something actually worthy of a contest win, or if they're just going to randomly select ten people no matter what kind of logorrheaic drivel they spew.
it's not unlike the "No purchase necessary" rules on cereal boxes, I think they get tossed into the same drawing for 10 winners and their guests to attend the inauguration as individuals who donate $25 or more to the inauguration fund. I say that because the small print precludes duplicate entries by doing both.
Edit: It doesn't preclude duplicates now that I reread it but donation entrants have to write the essay as well and they're being drawn at random.
