...was waiting for a bus. I was on a lonely rural road and she was black, beautiful and looked lost so I stopped and picked her up and brought her home. My wife wasn't real happy at first but after I explained the situation to her and that I would do everything I could do to find her former human companion she relented and let her
stay for a while.I put up 10 pics at the post office and other places of business around this town and some others of her early Monday morning with an explanation where I found her and gave my phone number. I also put an add in all the local papers. No calls. But everyone who has seen her wants her. Then I had my vet scan her for a chip. No chip. Someone dumped this pup for whatever reason but she will have a great life from here on out. Count on that.
Guess what? Don and Sue are now the proud parents of a 6 to 8 month old 56 pound Lab/Australian Shepherd mix puppy for the New Year. Man is she a great dog. My other two older Keeshonds love her to death and my Gray Tabby cat who likes all dogs anyway is ecstatic. Another dog to lick and keep his face and ears clean. Things just don't get any better for the cat.
Happy New Year everyone. I will be celebrating mine with a sweet new puppy tonight.
Don
Here is what the one I found looks like:
