2. Several reasons
One: I have a detailed understanding of the health care crisis in this country. I have worked in the billing department of Health Choice, a for-profit insurance company that pays out my state's poor and elderly health claims. My opponant is a former sportscaster who helped write the billion dollar giveaway to health insurance companies but does little for the medicare patients who urgently need the assitance they will not get.
Two: The three state universities have some of the lowest in-state tuitions in the country. However recent tax cuts have forced major hikes in the amount paid. By this time next year, the three universities could be charging more then the Pell grants top award amount, pricing even 'affordable' college out of the reach of ordinary people. On top of that, those who use the federal and other loans availible to college students, usually wind up so far in debt that they can not have the lower paying jobs such as teaching or public defender. This hurts everyone as children do not get quailty education, and also those that society has deemed 'useless.'
Three: Jobs are the linchpin of any society. To have a low paying job with no benifits means that there is greater strain on the local charities and governments.
I have more but my fingers are tired. ;)

3. I'd vote for you!
Nice recitation! And I love anyone who's concerned with college costs.

4. Way too high, education should be 'free' until grad school.
The current economy requires it.
