1,000 People Hired to Eat McDonald's Quarter Pounders in Japan

Last Tuesday, about 15,000 people went to the Osaka opening of Quarter Pounder, McDonald's unbranded Quarter Pounder-only chain in Japan. But 1,000 of those people were hired by a marketing company to wait in line, "including the first 20 to 30 people who waited from midnight." Still, 14,000 real customers isn't bad.

...that carries almost none of the food they could get in a real McDonald's? And the one thing they have, one could get in any goddamned McDonald's on the planet?

8. I don't get it - it's a McDonald's that's not actually called a McDonald's and
