I've been very good about exercising regularly for a few years now (I basically do it every day unless something gets in the way ... but exercising daily is my default mode). However, I just realized that my stomach is pooching out big time. I think it was the December baked goods that were around the house and that I snarfed with uncontrolled zeal. So, I've already cut back on sugar (I won't do 100 percent no sugar -- that's too high of a standard for me), and, instead of drinking wine nightly, I'm now drinking it only on weekend evenings. I figure that should save me at least 1,000 calories a week. I've already started because I don't want to be one of those "I'll wait until January" people. I've also kicked up the cardio portion of my workouts.
