Christmas Dirtbike Ride Pics. Post something you enjoy doing.
Here's a couple of shots from the ride bluesboy and I did over Christmas at Hollister Hills.

If you look right above the pickup you'll see "Competition Hill". About 600' vertical. Very fun and challenging.

Me and the boy. Great to have a hobby we can share.

1. My dear bluesbassman!
You and your son are quite the duo!

It's great you have something you love doing together...

Here I am in a pic taken by my daughter...

I was having a glass of wine when I visited her at a show in Palm Springs:

:toast:

3. Peggy, as always, you look like you're enjoying yourself!
I love your outfit. I know you sew, did you make that yourself? What kind of show was your daughter in? Is she an artist or a performer?

You're right about the hobby. He's getting to the "independent" stage, so I try to do as much as I can with him for as long as I can.:)

Alas, my sewing skills do not extend to anything as complex as that silk shirt...Which I bought!

My daughter was in an art show. She paints!

I'll find the link to her website, and then you can see for yourself what she does.

BRB...

Here's the link to her website:

2. That's what the holidays are about to me
Spending quality time with the people you love.

We don't do anything special on Christmas. We just all get together, open presents, eat, and generally enjoy each other's company.

4. Glad to hear that Droopy.
It really doesn't matter what you "do", as long as your doing it together. :)

5. How fun!
And your son is almost as handsome as your are. :)

Here's some stuff I enjoy:

Dorkin' around with CMW. We stopped for a Coke at a little lakeside restaraunt in Gandria, on the way home from Como.

Playin' with Ginger (inside) and Barley (outside)

Hangin' out with our goddaughters, Luisa (14) and Sara (16). They're big girls now. :)

¨
Being in the studio (although not necessarily cleaning my desk).

Seeing CMW be goofy, like rummaging through my collage supplies.

6. Cool stuff Heidi!
I noticed you collage supplies include a corkscrew. Just what every well stocked collage make needs!:P

You've a lot of different media in your studio. What is your primary work?

7. Ha! That photo doesn't show
even a small percentage of my materials.

Right now, it's mixed media stuff: collage with antique book pages, vintage photos, handmade paper, gold leaf, mica, powdered mother of pearl and ink. But it might be something else next month. I like to see how much I can learn about the materials and how they work together, then push 'em as far as I can. :)

P.S. I live in an Italian-speaking state. I think the law in Ticino is that each resident must be able to produce a cork screw on demand.

Materials: Enlarged, transferred 1909 love letter (German),
Japan paper, lacquer based ink, drawing ink, Talens acrylic paint,
vintage family photo (1945), vintage postcard ("Luzern mit Pilatus," date unknown)

me and two friends about to start a century ride in Death Valley

My son is a cyclist also but we never seem to have our bikes in the same state at the same time. We do share a love of beer and brewing.
