I did it. I made an adoption to keep my girl company.
I'm picking him up today from the pound after he's neutered and ready to travel.

10 month old Lab.

1. Good for you!
Big dogs are usually the last adopted, if at all. Labs are wonderful dogs, too!

3. I have a pure bred 3 YO female Lab who could use the company.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the transition goes smoothly for her.

2. I'm jealous
I've been dreaming and dreaming of rescuing another lab-cross doggie to keep my rescue lab-cross doggie company. It has to wait until we all survive this winter and then one more year of school and then find a job.

4. Beautiful!
We got a black lab just before Thanksgiving. He's so sweet and eager to please, which I think is common to the breed. I hope you have many happy years with him!

7. It's good you got an (almost) all-black dog, too.
They are harder to place than other colors. Same goes for the kitties. :(

10. I do to! And thanks. He looked so sad in the pics they had of him.
I pick him up in an hour and am as nervous as hell about how he and my baby will get on.

:)

13. I just got back from the pound and introducing him to his new home and Sis.
So far, so good. I think he's got some Staffordshire Terrier in him as well due to a very blocky head and his eyes.

But he seems to like his new home and sis, was very well behaved in the car and knows sit.

:shiver: And I think we already love each other!
