3. Which mountains are those?
I can see snow on the San Gabriels, and we had a little on the Box Springs Mountains (outside UCR) yesterday morning.

9. Minnesota is not a natural state.
It is a very weird state. Not as weird as Florida, or even Wisconsin, but weird enough.

12. Pretty much.
I could have gone out - the roads were passable, but getting TO the roads would have been tough.

Stupid hills! :D

13. Yeah.
The heavy rains (and snow in the higher elevations) pretty much rendered much of SoCal useless earlier this week.

I know how to drive in both, but I do not go out because I do not trust that everyone else here knows what to do when the road is wet. I would hate to see an ice storm here.

15. I had to drive home in the snow yesterday.
The roads weren't too bad, and my little car handled it ok. I was a little worried about the other drivers, but it was a nice, slow drive. Going UP those hills was a ton of fun, let me tell ya.

16. I'll have to share this with my Riverside-resident brother
He won't be pleased. He was up close and personal with about a foot of snow today--that's what he gets for coming back east for Christmas! At this point I think he'd enjoy the far-away view of the San Bernadoodoos in white.
