They are warm blooded like man, and give birth to one baby called a calf at a time. Dolphin friends" may swim along face to face touching flippers. Dolphins that appear to be closely bonded may swim in synchrony, twisting, turning and swimming in perfect harmony together. Dolphins are able to dive to great depths, and also leap to great heights. They may leap to avoid predators or to show how powerful they are to females at mating time. Noisy splashing jumps may also be used to herd fish. Bottlenose dolphins can dive to depths of over 1,640 ft (500m).

2. You are an Elephant!

You are an Elephant! Elephants are the largest and heaviest living land animals. Their noses, gestation period, front teeth - and maybe even their memory - are the longest in the animal kingdom. They and their extinct relatives have lived everywhere except Australia and Antarctica, from sea level to heights of more than 12,000 feet, in habitats ranging from deserts to rainforests to glaciers. In fact, if it were not for humans, elephants would probably rate among the most successful species on Earth. In elephant society, family herds are led by an old grandmother known as the matriarch. She is the dominant female, and the herd she is in charge of will probably consist of her sisters, daughters, female cousins, and their young offspring. A typical herd consists of 20 to 40 females (cows) of all ages. Only nursing and immature malesremain with the herd. Because elephants live to such a great age - possibly as long as 70 years - their social ties last for decades. A large herd can be divided up into a subgroup of 3 to 6 elephants. These are basic units of elephant society, usually made up of a mother and her calves, perhaps staying close to her sister and her sister's offspring. Adult males (bulls) usually live alone or in small groups of up to seven members. Male elephants leave the herd by their mid-teens, where they begin the long, slow climb up the male ladder of success, with the biggest, strongest bulls in the area at the top. Males show little interest in their offspring; instead, they stay out of the family herd and concentrate on keeping their status among the males in their population.Elephants are generally peaceful and easygoing, and they show great affection for one another. They even communicate with each other in many ways and with all their senses. They rely less on their eyes than humans do, but visual signals are important - the position of their ears and trunk shows what mood an elephant is in. Their sense of smell can tell them something about another elephant's health. Touch can also be used to convey some information. But the main way an elephant communicates deliberately is, as with humans, by sound. Elephant vocalizations range from high-pitched squeaks to deep rumbles. These deep rumbles, as much as two thirds of what an elephant is saying, are too low for the human ear to detect. PLEASE RATE THIS QUIZ? :)

Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 08:49 AM by La_Serpiente
ROAR!!!!

You are a Tiger!
The largest and most awesome of the big cats, the
exudes grace, beauty and an uncanny ability to
disappear and re-emerge from the shadowy
outlines of its forest habitat. Few animals
evoke such strong feelings of fear and awe as
the tiger. The Siberian tiger is the largest
and most massively built of the subspecies,
adult males have been documented reaching total
lengths of up to 13 feet with maximum weights
in excess of 800 pounds, although this is very
rare. In the more common subspecies, including
the Bengal and Indian tigers, adult males reach
lengths up to 10 feet and often weigh in excess
of 550 pounds while weigh 300 pounds with
average lengths up to 9 feet. The tiger's
physique reflects many evolutionary adaptations
for the capture and killing of large prey; the
hind limbs are longer than the forelimbs, as an
adaptation for jumping; the forelimbs and
shoulders are heavily muscled; the forepaws are
equipped with long sharp retractile claws; and
the skull is foreshortened, increasing the
crushing leverage of the jaws. Responding to
seasonal and local environmental conditions, a
number of geographical variations occur within
the tigers including size, pattern, color
intensity, and coat length. Background colors
range from a bright yellow-brown to dark rust
that is overlaid with dark stripes , frequently
doubled, extending vertically over the back and
down the sides of the body. The chin, throat
and undersides are whitish in contrast to the
background and stripe coloration. All cats will
swim if they are forced to, but most species
carefully avoid water except to drink. Only the
tiger and jaguar seem to relish bathing and
cooling off in ponds, lakes and rivers. Often
inhabiting the steamy jungles of India and
Asia, tigers discovered that water was a
convenient coolant and are often found sitting
or lying immersed to the neck in rivers or
pools.

I don't get how the answers relate. Because I like U2 and don't want to eat humans, I'm a Seal?

"You are a Seal! An undisturbed seal swims with its head and back above the water. When sleeping, it floats
vertically. The senses of sight and hearing are good while its ability to smell is fair. They sing long musical
underwater songs. Singing activity peaks in April and May. A highly varied vocal repertoire indicates a complex
social structure that is not well understood. It may be related to claims of territory and breeding condition. Mating
occurs in mid-May with a delayed implantation of two months and a gestation period of approximately 11 months.
Seals make up an order of mammals called Pinnipedia. This order is divided into three classifications: 1) eared
seals: fur seals and sea lions 2) earless seals: elephant seals and harbor seals and 3) tusked seals: walruses. By
a process known as a catastrophic molt, elephant seals shed their coats every autumn, sloughing large pieces of
hair and skin, and leaving the seal with a ragged and tattered appearance until it grows new, sleek fur. Baby
elephants seals, called pups, are nursed for about a month and then weaned from their mothers. "

Since it's close to April, my singing period...allow me..
"No. we're never gonna survive, unless....we get a little crazy....Once I had the will to carry on...illusions in my mind...It goes on now! take me to that funky place where you and I belong...Life goes on NOW! Psychedelic tendencies of love will bring it on....Bring it on, bring it on.....Dont' WWWWAAAAIIIIIIIT Until Tommorrow! Wait until tommorrow!...BRING IT ON!

13. Bow down to me: I'm a Lion - I'm Queen of the Jungle

You are a Lion! Lions are the top predator in any African ecosystem in which they occur, and are the largest of the African carnivores. With their large, muscular, tawny bodies and characteristic manes, they are unmistakable, and are treated with awe by prey species as well as most visitors to game reserves, whether it be their first visit or their fiftieth. Lions, like other cats, adapt well to their particular circumstances. They select their prey from the spectrum of available animals, but, given a choice, they exhibit a preference for large ungulates. It is believed that the social structure of lions has evolved from the necessity of co-operation in bringing down such large animals successfully. Studies have shown that the weight range of prey is between 20 to 800 kg in mass. On the upper end of the scale are giraffe and cape buffalo while the lower end includes gazelle and warthog. Lions in groups may attack and kill heavier animals such as rhinoceros and hippopotamus but it is not common. Smaller animals such as steenbok and springhares will tide lions over during hard times, especially in areas where larger game migrate and are therefore not always readily available. PLEASE RATE THIS QUIZ? :)

I got a popup when I went to the site. I closed it and now I have this message on my computer:

"Windows File Protection

Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.

Insert your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD now.

Maybe it's not related to the site at all. I just don't know. :(
I'm at work so I guess I'm going to have to call Tech Support. Sigh.

31. I am... *theme from Jaws*
You are a Great White Shark! The white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is also known as the great white shark or white pointer. It is a large, powerful and superbly adapted predator that occurs worldwide but is most common in temperate waters. Despite its notoriety, scientists have only recently been able to start building a profile of the species including its biology, habits, movement patterns and the vulnerability of populations to targeted or accidental captures. The white shark is, quite simply, a difficult species to study. White sharks grow to at least six metres, and possibly up to seven. They may weigh over 3000 kg. The most commonly encountered sizes are between three and four metres. One of the largest white sharks ever recorded was captured accidentally by a professional fisher in 1987 off Kangaroo Island, South Australia. It was too large to bring to shore but its estimated length was about seven metres.Juvenile white sharks (less than 3 metres) feed primarily on squid, fish, sting rays and other sharks. Larger white sharks change their diet to include marine mammals (seals, sea lions, dolphins, dead whales) although in some areas, large white sharks will continue to prey on fish such as snapper. White sharks have also been known to prey on turtles, sea otters, elephant seals and sea birds.White sharks differ from most other sharks and scale-fish in that they are warm-bodied. The temperature of a white shark can be as high as 24-27degrees Celcius and as much as 13-14 degrees Celcius above the surrounding water. White sharks elevate their body temperature using a heat exchange system that retains the heat generated by their muscles. Their metabolism is closer to that of birds and mammals than to most other fish. Being warm-bodied has helped white sharks to become dominant predators of swift-moving prey in cool and cold environments.

*sigh* I am the only Shark in the water here. It's so lonely...

You goddamn dolphins better just stay the hell away from me with your bottle noses! Always bashing me... :evilfrown:
