More parents need to name their sons Barry because it's a good name
Yes my real name is Barry and I got a lot of grade school shit for it..."Barry, Barry, quite contrary" etc... All the Larrys back then had respect...mainly because it was shorthand for Lawrence and Barry has no longer more distinguished sounding name to be derivative from... Garys had only one Rs and Harrys were pretty much extinct by then...Terrys and Perrys are disqualified for obvious reasons., they might seem to rhyme but their leadoff vowels are "e"s instead of "a"s...

3. Barry is the name of one of the best bar owners in my city
I just got back from his Christmas party for regulars. That's how much he rocks, he throws a Christmas party for his regular customers.

What part of the US are you from? Where I live, "Barry" doesn't rhyme with "contrary."

It rhymes with "marry" and "Larry."
