Is one expected to send Christmas cards?
I don't. I also am bad about answering the phone and emails.

1. At least you thought about it enough to post a thread about it.
After all, it's the thought that counts.

3. Yes. May all the people know that my warmth and cheer radiates out to them this season.
I suppose I could writes some kind of letter and email it to everyone on my list. But I don't like the idea of everyone on the list having the possibility of getting in contact with each other.

4. Email it to yourself and bcc everyone on your list.
That's how mass mailings are done without everyone knowing everyone else's addresses.

5. Should I write it to myself then too?
Dear JVS,
During the holidays, one likes to take stock and reflect upon the events of the preceding year...

7. Just write it to "dear asshole"
That will be sufficiently generic.

2. I don't know about expected
I send them because it's probably the one time of the year that I communicate with some people. I suppose I should communicate with them more often but I don't. So it gives me a reason to check in. But I don't get offended if I don't get a card from a friend or family member.

8. I don't. I am terrible about it. I love getting them though.
I have a hard enough time sending my bills off. That is why I am thankful I can pay most online!
