I wish I understood cat language - spent an hour this morning listening to 3 cats chatter
Totally the most surreal situation. Two of the cats were my own and the 3rd was a feral cat who decided to camp out on top of my bedroom window AC unit, which also underneath a green awning (it was raining outside).

First, I'm sure some of you might suggest I should have brought that cat in from the cold. But unfortunately I'm at my 2 cat limit and I didn't want to bring in a random cat off the street that god forbid was feral I couldn't get it out of my house.

But to listen to my 2 cats and this 3rd one basically hold a conversation for an hour was both interesting AND annoying (it was 4am, I would rather have been sleeping but they kept me awake.)

Abbott was on the sill by the window chatting with this other cat and Evita was on the neighboring window on her cat bed hissing from time to time and giving her opinionated 3 cents. For an hour these cats meowed, purred, chirped, hissed and did a wide variety of noises that made absolutely no sense whatsoever to me. Until the very end when something tripped off one of my cats and those 2 got into a major scuttled that could only be solved by giving them each food.

Well I hope that 3rd cat is safe. Whatever happened scared him/her away. Probably for the best since not sure I could survive that one again.
