1. Goodfellas.
I love Taxi Driver, but loved Goodfellas more.

2. That might be my favorite, too...
...I posted this primarily because of the "Rickles is on the Daily Show tonight" thread in the Lounge, which made me remember my love for "Casino," but in many ways, "Goodfellas" is the crown jewel.

3. Oooh. Tough question.
I've loved The Last Temptation of Christ ever since I saw it in 89. But I'm not sure that it's his best film.

Goodfellas is an excellent film, IMO superior to The Godfather. But when Hill "breaks the fourth wall" near the end, well, I find it a bit trite and gimmicky. Everything up to that part is outstanding.

Raging Bull is a singularly magnificent film. That one gets my vote.

5. Yes he did. And that was my favorite Scorsese film before "Goodfellas."
"Goodfellas" is my all-time favorite film by anybody.

6. Raging Bull.
But Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Casino, and even The King of Comedy are all brilliant.

10. I'm sorry, but I had to vote for Goodfellas
Watching it is a Thanksgiving tradition in my family. I could probably recite large chunks of it, given enough prompting. It's a hard choice, though, because

14. Where's "The Departed"...?
I mean, that only won him the Academy Award for Best Director (Best Picture, too), which is more than can be said for any of the ones in the poll.

Mean Streets should have been included, too.
