Yeah!
One of my friends came over today. She cleaned out my fridge, cooked me dinner and some extra food, washed and mopped my kitchen, and hung out and kept me company for a few hours.

Tomorrow morning she's meeting me to accompany me to apply for Public Assistance so I can get food stamps, heating assistance, and whatever else I might qualify for.

I've been having a very hard time getting out and around on my own, so I really appreciate having company and a pair of working hands when I go someplace.

:loveya:

I absolutely love my friends, my "house elves." I really don't know how I would be surviving right now without their help.

I love my friends, and I appreciate their time and their help, and I really just can't tell them enough. I had to share this.

:loveya:

I may still be panicking and stressed out, but I can't say that I don't have the best support network friends can provide. It is only because of their help that I'm going to be able to do everything possible to get through this.

3. I wish I could be that good a friend to my friends.
I used to be. I wish I still could be.

I wish we all could have friends like this.

If we could all have friends like this, and be friends like this, how much better would all of us be? :)

10. That's true.
A bit of work is fun when it's for someone you care about, and for someone who appreciates it. I remember that from back when I was on the other side. I never minded working hard for a friend who needed the help. And I guess they don't mind helping me now. :)

How are you? I hope the winter hasn't settled in too hard or deep yet. :(

18. It really has not.
We had a bit of snow over the weekend but it was 57 degrees and raining today. I hope it stays relatively snow free until I get the major furniture moved from this place, but that's unlikely. :pals:

And I've discovered that some people who say they didn't have friends as kids are spectacular friends as adults. And odd fact that is just one more reason why I love people.

12. I should not give the impression that they are always wonderful though.
They are planning on making another video of me taped to a chair. But this time they want me in the red union suit that LizzieGrace gave me for Christmas last year, and they want to tie me to the chair with Christmas lights.

:wow:

They're openly scheming about turning me into a Christmas tree! They're Evil! Evil I tell you! :P

24. we have talked about this...
Thom,

you protest too much.

If you were not secretly looking forward to getting 'dressed up'...you would not keep encouraging the idea. Who went looking for the red union suit? Or asked Debbie for the free xmas lights / decorations?

fess up...you want this as much as the elves do!

after all, you would not deprive poor, depraved Mary of the chance to sing the soundtrack she is writing? hmm?

and it will be ... awesome!

And you would not want to take the joy out of Mary's sad, boring life...would you?

and I still mantain that you are begging for it. You keep bringing it up. You are the one that dragged out the red union suit to wear in the video...an article of clothing that The Elves and I did not know existed till you showed it to us.

what did you say about getting stuck in a hole? STOP DIGGING! hehe!

31. I must be.
I'm not sure what I do, or when, or how. It's not anything intentional or deliberate. I couldn't explain or describe anything in particular that I do.

I treat this like winning the lottery. It's just very good fortune, and I'm going to appreciate it as long as I've got it, but I'm not going to take any credit for it. It's a wonderful thing that happens to me, not because of me. :)
