So this morning I went to the doc because my toe (the one I had operated end of October) is still giving me trouble. Guess what? It has to be operated again x( Bad timing, really bad timing ... I will get it done coming Monday.

That's very cool!

Which one is it? The flower?

BTW, I have been on a super duper cleaning binge around the house, and in the home office, I found the two pics you sent me!

I never forgot about them; just didn't have a good place to hang them, but now I do!

10. I knew it!
And I could never forget such beautiful photos!

One of the problems with my house is that there isn't a lot of wall space. We have lots of windows and two sliding glass doors, which isn't bad, but it limits the space we have for hanging pictures. However, after I remove some of the unwanted things from my space in the finished area of the basement, I'm going to paint it and do some other things, and then I will have space on one of the walls for the photos!

14. After I moved
I will have quite some space for pictures. I don't want to plaster the wall with pictures but I will be able to put up more.

It was funny with the hibiscus picture. I took it one evening just for fun because it looked so nice with the light from the back. Didn't expect it to win against my other pics.

Of course I post the link, a pic by me is in it :D I ordered my copies too already. Too bad we photgraphers don't get a free copy. I really really hope the package doesn't take too long to arrive here. Last year it took quite a while.

The toe pisses me off but I can't do a thing about it. It needs to get done as soon as possible. They wanted to do it today already. But I said no, since I need to get some stuff done before the OP. And tomorrow we have our Christmas party at work which I organized. No way I am missing that!!

Sorry to hear about Little MB. I hope she feels better soon. Does she has a cold?

22. I am not sure what she has other than
a headache (2 days), uneasy tummy and general malaise. Poor kid :(

We aren't having a Christmas party at work this year, probably a good idea since the company filed for Chapter 11 (restructuring) on Monday. But in my department, we do a "food day" where everyone cooks somehting, and Secret Santa gift exchange. And then in January we have the "craptacular" gift exchange where we bring in the worst gift we got and "regift" it

Have a wonderful day :loveya::hug:

Yes, I will be on sick leave at least 3 days (last time it was 3 days). Maybe even a bit more, I will see. That is what messes up everything. And I need to get done different things ... till Saturday (Sunday stores are closed in Germany) ... you get the idea.

Catching up from yesterday? How long did you stay awake????

21. Was out with my
book club mates yesterday, but not just too late. We have a great group. I just love getting together with them.

I think my body just knew it needed some sleep. Woke up about 4:25 a.m. but put my head back down on the pillow and feel fast asleep.

Tonight I'm going out again. There's a group of us that get together for dinner every 4-6 weeks. The next couple of weeks are busy "going out" nights. :)

Three days! If the holidays weren't fast approaching in addition to your move I'd say "yippee"! But you're right, it's poor timing. But please take care of yourself, and listen to the doc's instructions. You don't want your recuperation period to last any longer than it has to.

23. That sounds great
Here is what I just started reading. It cracks me up.
http://www.amazon.com/Lamb-Gospel-According-Christs-Childhood/dp/0380813815/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1228911418&sr=8-1

I agree with you about the free days. But the timing is just horrible. I need to buy boxes for my move (without a car the task of carrying those things home is rather interesting). Tomorrow the Christmas party. I have to do an export at work next week and have to print catalog cards before doing that. I got a Gottfried Keller edition in I need to catalog (20 books) so that I can give my boss the bill .... and so on ....

Of course I will listen to my doc. Last time it was 3 days because the weekend was coming. This time maybe it will be the whole week. No idea yet.

While you are recouping around your apartment, maybe ask some friends over and orchestrate the packing process.

It is kind of exciting. Forever would be about 1 1/2 years since we talked, during which we've both had major life changes, and about 6 or 7 since we've seen each other. It'll be fun.

61. We moved
from FL to TN. We have a daughter up here. (I guess "up" is relative, isn't it? We're "down" from a lot of places!) We built a house, got rooked in a big way, now have a bad house and a nightmare of a lawsuit that wasn't started by us. Harleydad had approval to telecommute, but they tried to pull the rug out almost as soon as we got here. Then they officially approved him for telecommuting after they found they couldn't replace him and now they're back at it again. He already spent several months looking for work around here and there is NOTHING. Now they have him so busy that he doesn't have a chance to even look. He's exhausted by the end of his very long work days.

I hope you're right. I don't know if I can take much more.

You may find that it's not hard to catch up at all. I have a friend from work who gets busy and loses touch for a year or two at a time. Then when we finally get back together again, it's like we haven't lost a single minute. Not sure how that works! LOL!

Well, it rained here, so that keeps the dogs from barking and drowns out the noise from the heat pump. And maybe I was just plain exhausted. I'm glad you slept well too! :bounce:

37. You better
:spank: :D

Ok, that might explain it too :D
And I had a glass of wine after work yesterday, that might have helped too :D

41. Yes 'm.
I'm still kicking myself for not entering. Maybe I'll get around to ordering one faster than I got around to entering, eh?

Wine would do it. I didn't have anything to drink except water.

OK, so you have way too much stuff going on right now. Wish I could be there to help you. It really is a bad time for your toe to be acting up.

My foot is bothering me, too. Funny, but the latest injury seems to have aggravated last year's sprain. A nurse told me I might have gotten arthritis from the injuries. Just what I need. Nothing they can do about it, though.

43. Then you better enter next year
:D

You wanna come and catalog the Gottfried Keller edition??? Or print catalog cards? Thanks, that would really help :D

Ewww ... that really sucks. I hope it isn't arthritis

46. I don't know
if I could figure out how to make my picture the right size. My email won't let me send them out in the original size and I'm completely stupid about how to do anything like that anymore. I used to be good at it, too.

No, I'll help with the moving though. Is that OK? And I can learn how to make Glühwein. :9

Thanks, but if it isn't I don't know what else it could be. Shouldn't take 20 months for a sprain to heal. :(

49. You have a computer geek at home
don't you think that should solve the problem?

The other day I posted a recipe for Glühwein here. Maybe I need to find it again?

Helping with moving works too :D

It definitely shouldn't take that long. Neither should it take over a month for a toe to heal :eyes:

52. That is NOT
his strong suit. Never has been. He's more into the guts of networking and nasty stuff like that. He doesn't even like to write code.

Yeah, you need to find it again ... although wine isn't exactly in our budget right now.

OK. Guess I'll have to teleport myself there somehow. :D

Well, it sounds like something didn't go right with your toe surgery. You're right, it shouldn't take that long.

54. Here you go
scroll down a bit, then you will find the recipe. You don't need expensive wine for that.

If you take the plane today or tomorrow it is also still enough time :D

See my email, I explained it there.

:D

I am always glad to be able to help you.

So, did you look at the recipe? You think you are able to do it? For the real taste you have to bundle up and drink it outside

62. Yep.
 Friends like you are rare.

I looked a the recipe. Not too hard. My mom used to make it and she normally can't cook very well. How 'bout if we just go downstairs and open all the windows? Wait ... with the piss poor insulation we have, it's just like they're opened anyway!

thanks

But yes, I will get operated on it on Monday. Second time :eyes: I know the procedure by now. Not the first time I had to get operated on my toes (ingrown toenails)

but it sucks anyway ... any other time I would be happy about free time. But not at the moment. Way too much to do.

Thank you :) When will you post your renfest pics?
