The Dookus Day-After Oscar thread....

OK... I was offline since yesterday, and didn't get to join in any of the fun here.

So here's my recap.

First, regarding the women - UGH!!!!! White, silver and bronze dresses everywhere, especially on blondes. Made 'em all look washed out (except for Charlize with the fake tan). What's wrong with color? Jennifer Garner, in the beautiful apricot Valentino wins the best gown award. Seriously, she was the ONLY one who looked really good. Liv Tyler looked elegant in black, and Naomi Watts in teal was nice. Everybody else sucked. Worst dress-watching Oscars ever.

Angelina Jolie showed how cold it was in the theater.

Jamie Lee Curtis needs a new haircut. Seriously, JL... it's been 25 years.

The musical category was the best ever. All the songs were great, and I loved seeing Eugene Levy and Catherine O'hara do their schtick.

For the first time ever, I have no major quibble with the awards themselves - LOTR deserved everything it got and then some. Especially thrilled that Annie Lennox got one. I would've puked if it was Sting.

Best looking man: Johnny Depp. Hands down. He's unbelievable and that haircut was awesome. Sean Connery's still got it, too.

Peter Jackson - dude. Get a haircut. Rent a tux.

The Billy Bush who did the pre-show schtick in the audience should be taken out and shot. Just embarrassing. But what do you expect from a Bush?

How did Renee Zellwegger become a movie star? She can act well enough, but she's just so damned odd-looking with that smushed-up face thing she does.

Blake Edwards was charming and funny. A well deserved honor for him.

Clint Eastwood still looks hot, too.

Thrilled Sean Penn won. I think he's one of the best actors working today, and I'm glad he showed up to accept it. I would've loved a Johnny Depp upset, but I'll happily let Sean take the honor.

She didn't look bad. Not the best, but far from the worst. At least she wore some color, unlike 99% of all the other women.

He looked like a homeless man who robbed a suit store. The most important day of his life and he can't groom himself? He recked of loser.
