I hate the gators so bad. tonight I am in the belly of the beast (Jax).
My dawgs got beat by both Al and Fl, but I was pulling so hard for the Tide.

I was wishing ill things about teblow and his crew. Now we get to hear about nothing but teblow and how he should be givine the heisman again.

awwww shit

I almost posted a thread that started with that, but decided against it.

That was a helluva game. I was really wanting the Tide to win that. I loathe Florida too.

14. It's okay ...

We all must have a vice.

Or several. :)

I've had entire weeks ruined due to football/basketball/baseball games.

I'm gonna go watch this OU - Missouri game now and hope this isn't one of them.

I was really looking forward to seeing OU and Bama in the championship game. I've been a fan of both teams since I was a kid.

Anyways ...

19. And here I was being nice ...

Personally, I thought 'Bama would beat up on Texas and probably Oklahoma. They've got the only defense I've seen I think can handle either.

Florida ... they had a good night, and 'Bama didn't. I think they'll have trouble with either Texas or OU.

Edited on Sat Dec-06-08 08:35 PM by Ava
i'm not sure they'll get away with that in the national championship game. the SEC plays rough though.. i think they'll pull it off in the championship game.

not that i don't like UT.. UT Austin is one of the schools i'm applying to.. and oklahoma is a tough team.

13. Alabama didn't play like crap until the fourth quarter
when we quit pressuring tebow.

it was back and forth until we controlled the third quarter, and then our defensive calling went to hell and we quit pressuring them.. which allowed their offense to score.

12. You have my apologies.
I'm no fan of Florida either - mostly because they beat Ohio State in two championships a couple of years ago, and my dad LOVES the Buckeyes, and I didn't like seeing him that disappointed twice in such a short period of time.

'Bama should be back to have another great season next year... Probably. I don't know for sure. I'm a Big XII man myself. :P

with no emotional investment in the game, Tebow was the difference. Everything else was pretty even, but he's a stud

don't get me wrong.. he's good.. however, alabama has the rushing game to match his game.

the problem was that our defense went to shit in the 4th quarter.. some AWFUL play calling x(

oh well *sigh*

You need to pick a loser team. Like me. I picked UCLA. Hey I could've done the "smart" thing and picked USC, but then I'd be yelling and screaming about how "we got screwed out of the championship game...again!!!" I know, I know. UCLA won eight in a row back in the 90s, but we're back to earth now. Right where I like it.

EDIT: By "eight in a row" I meant eight in a row over USC in the cross-town rivalry.

39. You're from Alabama. You can't be cured.
It's like being a New Englander when it comes to baseball, the Red Sox in particular. I think it's genetic.

Embrace it. Days like this suck big time (trust me, the names "Ed Armbrister", "Bucky Dent", "Mookie Wilson", and "Aaron Boone" give me cold sweats), but it's the down times that make the good times so much sweeter.

Oh, and Arkansas is going to kick your silly crimson ass next year...

45. i don't care about passion because i am not emotionally invested in sports.
it's not my thing and never has been.
therefore, i can only enjoy it on the merits of its entertainment value. knowing that so many nfl players are thugs, criminals, pretentious douchebags, or a mix of the three, i therefore am entertained.
