Something that puzzled me about the Oscars last night....
Why did the orchestra play "Hail to the Chief" when Tom Hanks walked to the podium? Did anyone else catch that? Is Tom running for political office or something?? :-) Terry...thinking trivial thoughts as he's eating his lunch.

Yes, Allen's all too serious threat to "phone the council" changed my mind. Allen doesn't do idle threats! :-) I did watch the Oscars after all. And I want my 3 1/2+ hours back. Terry

3. I think it was part of the Bob Hope tribute.
Hope had entertained Presidents from Truman - Clinton.
