I watched the movie again last night and I laughed like it was the first time I saw it.
What a wonderful, funny movie!

6. And Darren McGavin is gone now ... several years ago, I think.

8. I saw an interview with Darren McGavin a few years ago and

he talked about how he had to work hard to convince the movie studio to release the movie. The studio didn't think it was a money maker so they were going to shelve it. McGavin loved the movie from the beginning and was even willing to put up some of his own money to see that the movie got released.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, where ever you are Mr McGavin for helping to give us this great, funny, classic movie!
