I took BabyM to the store last night.
And, seriously, you people wonder why I drink.

She stepped on my flops about a dozen times and said "Can I get?" about 3 dozen times.

We need a new Christmas tree and I thought one that was reasonable priced was fine, but she wanted the one that didn't have the lights on it. She kept hounding me "Why don't we get this one? Why do we have to get the one with lights?"

I finally hissed at her "Because your mother is OLD and your father is a heart patient@!!!!"

A lady in the same aisle burst out laughing; I felt bad and bought her some cookie cutters and cookie mix. BabyM, not the laughing lady.

1. At least she didn't ram into your ankles with the shopping cart
2,398 times, like BabyG insists on doing.

Why are you wearing flops in December???

3. I wear them year round.
They're just so easy to slip on to run out and I can't stand wearing shoes in the house.

4. WannaBe's boyfriend does that.
I am a klutz so I don't even wear them in the summer. I've been known to break my ankle merely by walking.

5. Yes, but do you trip UP the stairs?
four years ago did just that and cracked my skull. Nice shiner, too.

The best part was as I was laying in the hallway, TM came out of her room and leaned over me and said "Mom, don't forget, I need two two litre bottles of soda for French Club tomorrow."

At least she didn't put a post it note on my forehead.

7. "Can I Get?"
I wonder if that phrase can be banned during the months of December and birthday months? Little MB just spews that all the time - and then she whines "but Mommmy, it's only x dollars..." to which I reply "Do YOU have x dollars?"

That usually shuts her up... ;)

So did you get a tree?

8. And she is your favorite?
A tree with lights must a blessing. This coming from someone too cheap (and romantic) to buy new lights, so I spent the good part of an hour untangling our old ones last night.

22. "Can I get?" is not "Can I have?"
Saved by pronoun trouble!

"Sure BM, YOU can get it. YOU can get everything you want."

Merry Christmas! or Merry War on Christmas!, whichever you prefer.
