So when did you realize that Star Trek was cooler than Lost in Space?
For me, it was "The Great Vegetable Rebellion"

Oh, boy!

1. We didn't get whichever network Lost in Space was on
So I never saw it before Star Trek started in first run. When I did see Lost in Space after it had gone to syndication I could not believe something that cheesy had ever made it as a series. Even Thunderbird was better than Lost in Space!

I think "The Great Vegetable Rebellion" is in the top ten of the worst TV episodes of all time.

3. The kicker was that the first few episodes weren't cheezy at all
Smith was plain evil instead of foppish

The tone was harsh

Then it started going down hill.

One of the better later episodes (Despite Smith) was the "War of the Worlds" episode, where the Jupiter 2 lands on Earth in the past.

4. 1947, to be exact
I think the name of the town was Manitou Junction. I know Smith pretended to be the fire chief from Chickasaw Falls. And Will disguised the robot as a scarecrow. :D

That was the first episode of the third season, with the new and much-better opening theme. I think it was a two-parter.

One of the early episodes was vaguely similar. Will was taken by a light beam to the town of Hatfield Four Corners, Vermont, from whence he brought back a bottle of carbon tetrachloride, which the Jupiter II needed for its propulsion system or something.

Yeah, I carry this shit around in my head.

6. It's worthless knowledge
I wish it wouldn't take up space in my brain that could be used for something important. x(

7. That's not fair, TGVR was one of the last LIS shows ever filmed.
Besides, Star Trek had a few clunkers in their last season.

How about Spock's Brain and the space hippies episode? I'd put that show up against Carrot Top's father for bad camp sci-fi any day.

8. Yes, the Space Hippies episode should have been burned
And the one with the obese lawyer - Melvin Belli. Those children were just annoying.
