A year ago, my Harry Potter meetup friends started a Quidditch league. I'm a cheerleader for the Central Park Centaurs.

That's me on the far left cheering back when I was still using crutches. :)

The girl in the middle in yellow is the Snitch. To win, the seeker had to grab her hat, and find one of three random messages in it. you had a one in three chance of getting the message that means you caught the golden snitch and won the game.

Very fun. The league is in its second year now. :)

to China. You can get several dozen professional photos taken... and, have them put into leather-bound photo albums (we have one that is 11x17 and two others that are 8 1/2 x 11, plus a couple of smaller ones, too) for about $200. It took us all day (9 hours) to get through several outfits and to several scenic locations. I would guess a good portion of it was spent helping my wife get dressed up, fixing her hair, re-applying makeup, etc.

It was nice - one thing that was cool was when I saw the organ in the chapel (or whatever they call it). It was an Estey Organ, made in my hometown of Brattleboro, Vermont probably in the mid to late 1800's when Estey was the biggest organ company in the world. I always check out old organs on the off chance that I will see an Estey so it was a nice little taste of home.
