For the first time in 4 years, I'm having a Christmas tree!
We just brought the 6-foot noble fir inside, and decorating will begin shortly. If it looks purty, pics may be forthcoming. :woohoo:

And you do NOT want to know what the going price is for such a tree in Los Angeles. :scared: :wow:

1. How much did you pay?
Two years ago I bought a "live" tree and paid through the nose for it. Last year I got an artificial tree off Craigslist.

5. $65 (but it is a really nice tree!)
I'm still having sticker shock. Just a few years ago, IKEA was selling them for $20.

6. I paid like $80 two years ago in MasterPlanistan
I was shocked, because I had never spent more than $15 back in Minnesota.

7. You're always inspiring!
Craigslist! Why didn't I think of that!
Thanks again

Btw I have a strict limit of $20 on trees. You have to hold out but you get it.
Best 20 dollar tree ever (2006):

2. I haven't had a tree since I moved to California
Ten years ago. My places have been really small and I heat with wood so a tree would dry out in no time. Not to mention the insane cat who would no doubt wreak havoc with it. I will enjoy yours vicariously when you post pics.

8. It's absolutely worth it to get a Nobile instead of a Douglas.
I hope you have a wonderful time decorating it. :)

My thrifty SO made a pitch for the cheaper Douglas, but I love the noble too much.

I saw your thread about trees--here's mine to share with you. I'm so very, very happy to see you back here again. :pals: :loveya:

And it looks like Santa has already left me a (slightly used) housecat!
