My son called me today
My son is almost 21 and a real good kid but he doesn't often think to call his old mum - I'm usually the one who calls. Which is okay - I know how it is. He's not really into talking on the phone - my daughter and I can talk for hours about nothing but he's a little more laconic - and he's always doing something or other. But that makes it all the more special when he does call. So it made my day. :)

That is all.

1. Awww...my son did that on my birthday awhile back
He tried to make it out like he ...just happened to call my cell.

He's just 18.

This is the kid who would do things like come back from a bike ride with a water bottle full of wild blackberries for me.

2. That's so sweet
Yeah, I have three kids - 2 girls and my boy. I love them all of course but there's something so endearing about a sweet boy. And my boy is sweet. :)

4. Actually...my sons normal state is snarling and nasty.
He just has these wonderful moments now and then.

Also.

I have a friend who says that in "most" cases the aliens come and take away your child somewhere around the age of twelve, they leave in it's place a snarling, self-centered, ungrateful beast. They will bring your child back several years later.

And she has had like 8 kids I think.

They come back.

5. I sure hope so
My son and my younger daughter are just fine but my oldest daughter seems to have been abducted and has yet to be returned. She's 27, snarling, self-centered, ungrateful AND a republican. :banghead:

Anytime now, aliens! We're all ready down here! :P
