1. If he is a euphemism for "five inches of snow and I don't have my snow tires on yet,"
then I don't like him so much. But if we're just talkin' about the plain old Frosty the Snowman of my childhood, with no other meaning attached, I lovelovelove him. :)

Mornin', friend. :hi:

2. Heidi, howdy to you and good morning.
Yep. The plain ol' Frosty is the one I mean.

"Color Frosty's scarf GREEN," said my childhood coloring book.

3. With Barney the purple dinosaur, the yuck factor is huge.
IMO Frosty the Snowman's yuck factor is minimal.

He may even be a yuck-free icon.

11. O my.
A potential image-changer for Barney.

He must have changed publicists.

4. I voted "other"
I like him but knowing he is doomed to eventually melt away prevents me from loving him...I know he comes back each Christmas but going through the loss year after year? No thanks. Loving him would somehow correlate with the definition of insanity and I have plenty of experience with that already with people who don't melt away when the sun starts to shine...

5. An understandable objection to a head-over-heels bond with Frosty.
And who among us hasn't fallen in love with a meltaway at one or another time in our lives, leaving us emotionally bereft, alone, outside in the front yard on a cold morning, staring at a couple chunks of coal and a carrot on the damn ground?

6. I learned at an early age that snowmen were transient beings
Maybe too early an age...I saw this cartoon once when I was young and through the magic of memories and youtube I was able to find it again in the twilight of my life... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axjtHnN7HKE

9. Oh wow. I have never seen that snowman cartoon. Or if I have, I've long
forgotten it.

Thanks for that link and that blast from the past.

12. He was indeed. "With a corncob pipe and a button nose
and two eyes made out of coal."

That's our Frosty.
